91pointsW.T. Vintners 2017 Grand Côte Boushey Vineyard Syrah (Yakima Valley)

This is a new addition to the lineup, coming from a part of this vineyard made famous by McCrea Cellars, the producer that started Washington's Syrah craze. The aromas are subdued, with notes of herbs, raspberry, citrus and medicine. Smoky, textured flavors follow, bringing a sense of freshness. It's part intrigue, part delivery. Sean P. Sullivan
