Reductive and oniony at first, this aroma spends at least the first five minutes in glass overpowering the other aromas, but it does eventually blow off. In its wake lie notes of nettles, grass, bell pepper, lemon and grapefruit. On the palate, the reductive and vegetal characters slip away, making room for the fruit, which is bright and crunchy, nestled into a slippery texture and crisp acidity. Christina Pickard
