Waits-Mast 2017 Mariah Vineyard Sauvignon Blanc (Mendocino Ridge)

A bright gold color and assertive oak aromas and flavors make this an unusual example of the variety, but it is appealing nonetheless. The aroma is quite buttery and the flavors resemble toasted almonds and grilled pears while the body is full and viscous. Jim Gordon
