Made in a Super-Tuscan style, this includes 12% Syrah and 5% Malbec. Young, tight and still a bit severe, it needs airing out. But the fruit has the right structure for Sangiovese which, though rare, does quite well in Washington. Tart and spicy, with cranberry and strawberry fruit flavors under a warm blanket of oak and acid.
