Coming from a vineyard adjacent to the winery, Sangiovese makes up half of this wine, with the rest 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and 10% Syrah. The aromas bring notes of red fruit, pencil eraser, spice and herb. Juicy coffee flavors follow, with the tannins giving a firm squeeze. Chocolate notes linger on the warm finish. Give it some time in the bottle or decant, and you will be rewarded. Sean P. Sullivan
