Warramate 2012 Shiraz (Yarra Valley)

The nose of this wine is intriguingly complex, hinting at violets, campfire, eucalyptus and cherry, yet on the palate, the wine doesn't fully live up to that promise. It's crisp and medium bodied, with flavors that actually become simpler and more fruit-driven with airing. Drink now–2020. Joe Czerwinski
