Waterbrook 2011 Melange Red (Columbia Valley (WA))

A kitchen sink-style blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Mourvèdre, Tempranillo and other varieties, with no single one making up more than a quarter of the blend. It brings notes of vanilla, cashews, herbs, pepper and assorted berries that don't completely marry but still provide enjoyment, with firm tannins providing much of the feel. Sean P. Sullivan
