Fruit for this wine comes from a new site on the top of Red Mountain. The aromas are arresting, with notes of black peppercorn, sauvage, citrus rind, fractured basalt and herb, showing delineation and detail. The flavors are intense and layered, while still retaining deftness. There's a whole lot of firm tannic structure behind it. It hangs on the finish. It's tight as a drum right now. Drink after 2026.
