Weingut Christ 2011 XXI Red (Vienna)

Freshly ground white pepper and big, chewy, structured tannins speak loudly in this blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Ample plum, cherry and rich, oaky spice follow. Bright acidity keeps it fresh and lively. A slow burner but well worth waiting for; ready after 2016. Anne Krebiehl MW
