Weinrieder 2016 Reserve Grüner Veltliner (Weinviertel)

Notes of earth, yeast and corn husk make for an unusual but compelling nose. The palate enforces this even more: Fruit subsides next to that yeasty, salty, almost bitter intensity that also has a creamy backdrop and elasticity. A most textural Grüner that's most definitely destined for the table. Anne Krebiehl MW
