Weisinger 2016 Syrah (Rogue Valley)

From an exceptional vintage, and after being given ample bottle age, this still seems to be dominated by the American oak barrels (25%) in which it was aged. There's excellent fruit in the mix, still bright with fresh raspberry notes. But the overall lightness of the fruit means this wine should be enjoyed while that freshness remains. Paul Gregutt
