Wellington 2000 Syrah (Sonoma County)

Dark and thick, opening with aromas of freshly crushed white pepper and blackberries. Not bad in the mouth, with some pretty flavors of blackberry and tobacco, but lean. Given the tannins and the velvety texture, it longs for depth and concentration that aren't there.
