A touch of dried apple peel appears before the candied lemon notes take over on the nose. The palate then presents profound stoniness on a body that combines lightness and depth in a way that only Riesling can. This is only just beginning to show its true face, helped along by that pristine sense of lemon and tanginess. This is fresh, pervasive, slender, elegant and utterly life-affirming. Anne Krebiehl MW
