Rich notes of dried hay are made ethereal by the pervasive, lifted and almost menthol-like intensity of dried lemon peel. An earthy pithiness swings alongside, almost acting as a ballast to these sky-bound aromas. The palate adds juicy, rounded Mirabelle which is depicted in the glaring, pristine presence of brightest lemon freshness. This is gorgeous and gives you a mere glimpse of what Riesling can do once it matures. Drink by 2040. Anne Krebiehl MW
