Whisky Galore Bowmore 1991 Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky

First sniffs find sweetly medicinal aromas of worn cowhide, cigarette ash, fruity pipe smoke and sea breeze; aeration adds scents of beeswax and clover. The lush palate entry is honeyed, sherry-like and dried fruit-like; at midpalate the spirit jumps on board directing the fruit and honey towards a beguiling cherry cake-like taste. Finishes sweet, fruity and mildly iodine-like. P.P.
