White Oak 1999 Pourroy Zinfandel (Alexander Valley)

A fine example of its appellation, with its melted tannins, soft acids and plush, fat fruit. It's also classically Zinfandel, with briary, spicy red and black raspberry flavors offering hints of tobacco and clove. The flavors are strong, but there's a gentle elegance to the mouthfeel that's addictive.
