Wild Horse 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon (Paso Robles)

Rough and earthy, it's Cabernet-ish in the black currant aromas, but exceedingly tannic on the palate. This gum-numbing harshness is unrelieved by fruit or ripe sweetness of any kind. It's surprisingly unfriendly for a Paso Robles red wine.
