WildAire 2018 Norma Pinot Blanc (Willamette Valley)

Editors' Choice

The winery has a very fine track record with this grape. There has been a change in vineyard sourcing, and the wine has been given a new name honoring the founder's mother, but the quality is higher than ever. Taken all together, the techniques of whole-cluster pressing, spontaneous (wild) ferment and sur lie aging bring exceptional texture, detail, power and elegance to this wine. Lovely clover scents and rich, round apple-pear-peach fruit flavors keep the palate lively through a lingering finish. Paul Gregutt
