Willamette Valley Vineyards 2003 Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

This is a good effort for the price, showing spicy cherry and raspberry fruit, light hints of herb, beet root and moist earth. It seems to get a bit earthier as it weaves into the finish, but it's well balanced and certainly well matched to salmon, swordfish or poultry dishes. Paul Gregutt
