Willamette Valley Vineyards 1998 Freedom Hill Vineyard Pinot Noir (Willamette Valley)

Character and flavor abound in this lovely, even wine. The cherry fruit core wears interesting and complex chalk, sage and mineral accents. The mouthfeel is nicely textured—smooth, with a subtle graininess. The long, refined finish shows very even tannic structure and good grip. They come deeper, but not much more polished than this.
