Willamette Valley Vineyards 2018 O'Brien Pinot Noir (Eola-Amity Hills)

This is only the fourth time an O'Brien reserve has been made (2008, 2012 and 2016 were the others). It's all Pommard fruit given 16 months in 15% new French oak. Pomegranate and tart pie-cherry-fruit flavors dominate, and there are ample herbal flavors reflective of the Eola-Amity AVA. Paul Gregutt
