Oregon Solidarity 2018 Rosé of Pinot Noir (Rogue Valley)

Editors' Choice

A collaborative release from King Estate, the Eyrie Vineyards, Silvan Ridge and Willamette Valley Vineyards, the backstory here is that just before harvest, an out-of-state winery backed out of large contracts, leaving some small growers stuck. The Oregon Solidarity team jumped in, producing 7,400 cases of this excellent rosé. A pale, coppery pink, it's bone-dry with lip-smacking acidity. A great picnic wine and an even greater opportunity to support some exceptional winemakers. Paul Gregutt
