The grapes were sourced from the Delfino vineyard, but although Tempranillo is well-established in the Umpqua Valley, this wine is astringent, chalky and underripe. Bare flavors of lemon and apple conceal any hint of red fruit, and the astringency has a concrete-like dryness. Drink up. Paul Gregutt
