William Church 2012 Viognier (Yakima Valley)

Viognier remains a strong suit for William Church, and part of the consistency is the vineyard sourcing each vintage from Conner Lee and Gamache, in roughly equal proportions. Lemon and lime, peaches and apricots rule the palate, ripe but neither hot nor bitter. There's a good long finish as well, but it's the fruit that really shines. Paul Gregutt
