William Heritage 2018 Pét-Nat Chenin Blanc (Outer Coastal Plain)

An unusual deep golden color and intriguing marigold, brie and orange aromas make for a complex sparkling Chenin. The palate combines golden honey and honey crisp apple with hints of dried apricot and dried flowers. Time in the glass reveals nutty hazelnut and almond tones. Baking spice creeps in at the close extending the finish on this bewildering and delicious pét nat. Fiona Adams
