Williams Selyem 2001 Ferrington Vineyard Pinot Noir (Anderson Valley)

Seems like a textbook Pinot from this appellation, with its jammy, forward cherry and raspberry scent enriched with mocha and hints of dried herbs and dust. It's very big in the mouth, a sunburst of cherry flavors wrapped in fairly heavy tannins. Should improve through 2007.
