Williams Selyem 2003 Allen Vineyard Pinot Noir (Russian River Valley)

After a dropoff in the quality of the '02, this wine marks a welcome return. Ripe and fruity in cherry and blueberry fruit, it's easy to enjoy now for its silky, oaky drinkability and classic structure. There are some superripe, raisiny flavors that add a piquant note, but I think this limits ageability.
