Willow Crest 2000 Mourvèdre (Yakima Valley)

The winery says this is the first time anyone has bottled this varietal in Washington; they get no argument from me. It's young, grapey, effusive and loose-knit, and not for everyone. But if you like gregarious, slightly rustic, spicy/tangy red wines, with plenty of fresh fruit, give it a try. Paul Gregutt
