Winderlea 2019 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir (Yamhill-Carlton)

It's fascinating to taste Shea Vineyard wines from the two dozen or more wineries that designate their grapes. Without exception this vineyard delivers great fruit, though winemaking styles determine the ultimate flavors. Here is a moderately ripened, lightly herbal and low alcohol wine with more delicate pleasures. A complex weave of wild berries, peppery herbs, citrus and clean earth, it's well-made but may challenge you to dig just a bit deeper to find its strengths. Paul Gregutt
