Wirra Wirra 1998 R.S.W. Shiraz (McLaren Vale)

Its smooth, velvety mouthfeel is almost reason enough to buy this wine, but the river of ripe red fruit, nut and cassis flavors on the palate make it a lock. The nose may be right in line with the “big Oz Shiraz” profile (caramel, big black fruit, a little herb and oak), but the eucalyptus and mocha flavors are all its glorious own. 300 cases produced.
