Wither Hills 2012 Taylor River Single Vineyard Pinot Noir (Marlborough)

Lifted oak spices fuse with red cherries, florals, dark chocolate, pepper and campfire smoke. The palate is tough and leathery at the moment, with slightly clunky oak, biting tannins and sour red fruit. This is a flashy style for those who like oaky reds. Christina Pickard
