Wolf Blass 2004 Platinum Label Shiraz (Barossa)

The inclusion of a large proportion of Eden Valley fruit gives this wonderfully complex aromas of cracked peppers and dried spices, which build upon a solid core of ripe blackberry fruit. Creamy and lush on the midpalate, it firms up considerably by the finish. This stays true to Wolf Blass's approachable style while layering on additional depth and potential longevity. Drink now–2016 and possibly beyond. Joe Czerwinski
