This is half Syrah and half Cabernet Sauvignon, a popular style in Washington. Done well, as it is here, it marries the black fruits and herbal highlights of the Cab to the earthy, spicy flavors of Syrah. Still young and almost grapey, it is finished with ripe, substantial tannins.
