Woodward Canyon 2018 Estate Reserve Red (Walla Walla Valley (WA))

Cellar Selection

The wine comes from the winery's vineyard, which saw its initial plantings in 1977. The aromas offer notes of black currant, herbs, black licorice and plentiful barrel spices. Deep, dark cassis flavors follow. It shows a lot of polish and class. Like with most Woodward wines, time in the cellar will serve it well, and it has the stuffing to go the distance. Best after 2025. Sean P. Sullivan
