81pointsWyndham Estate 2000 Bin 555 Shiraz (South Eastern Australia)

Very basic aromas are probably the best part. The mouth is thick and syrupy, and the flavors run toward prune. On the finish, oak gives off a coffee flavor, but there's still a lot of sugar there. It seems a bit off the mark, with no real correlation between the aromas and flavors. —M.S. Michael Schachner
