From an area that is constantly pursuing excellence with this grape, a deeply fruity wine of enormous charm. On one level it seems simple, with blackberry flavors and rich, dry tannins that are well-oaked and delicious. Then you sip again and discover all sorts of interesting tidbits. It's drinkable now, especially with braised beef or duck with plum sauce, but has the inherent balance to age gracefully.
