Yamhill Valley 2016 Tall Poppy Pinot Noir (McMinnville)

A block of old vine Pommard is the source of this über-reserve. It's rich and ripe with plush purple fruits. The acidity keeps it lively and gives it a lemony kick. It seems to fall off in the midpalate and lacks the power of the Estate Reserve from the same vintage. Paul Gregutt
