Year 2017 Mataro (McLaren Vale)

The color of this wine is fading and the nose is downright odd, a combo of volatile balsamic notes, oatmeal, olive brine, leafy, herbal characters, graphite, ripe plum and something meaty. The hefty alcohol shows on the palate, emphasizing the chewy tannins and bitter finish. Christina Pickard
