Yering Station 2017 Little Yering Pinot Noir (Victoria)

This is a simple but elegant Pinot from one of the Yarra's historic producers. Full of delicate red fruit and plums and laced with savory if slightly soapy wood notes, the palate is relatively light weight but firmly structured. The fruit veers on the tart side and the oak makes itself known, but overall there's a lovely freshness and purity of fruit here, along with plenty of bang for your buck. Christina Pickard
