York Mountain Winery 2003 Jack Ranch Pinot Noir (Edna Valley)

The winery's regular Edna Valley Pinot was quite good, but this single-vineyard bottling, which shares many of its qualities, suffers from an apparent sweetness that makes it cloying. It's hard to figure out how this got past the winemaker.
