Yves Cuilleron 2002 Terres Sombres (Côte Rôtie)

Smoky wood aromas, with pure black fruits are a great start for this serious wine. Considering it comes from the less good 2002 vintage, it has great ripe fruit, which balances with dark, dry tannins and acidity. There is plenty of potential here, as well - give it 10 years. Roger Voss
