Zaca Mesa 2001 Estate Bottled Syrah (Santa Ynez Valley)

Nice and smooth, like a good cognac, with velvety tannins and firm, supportive acids. Showing young, fleshy flavors of blackberries, black cherries and coffee, with an overlay of smoky oak. Finishes a bit earthy and raw.
