Amphoras are becoming popular in white wines, but remains emergent in reds. This bottling is an argument in favor, starting with clean and concentrated aromas of berry, damp herb, wet rocks and charcuterie. The palate is coated in a strong stony grip, framing dark berry, dried beef and peppered meat flavors, as a ticklish acidity rides into the palate. Matt Kettmann
