ZaHa 2016 Toko Vineyard Estate Grown Malbec (Paraje Altamira)

Lightly herbal and floral aromas of wild flowers, thyme and sage lend complexity and interest to an otherwise berry fruit nose. This is fresh but a bit edgy in feel, seemingly a combination of its Altamira origins and a cool 2016 vintage. Berry fruit flavors are bright and touched up with chocolaty oak, while this is sturdy, spicy and complete on a juicy finish. Drink through 2025. Michael Schachner
