ZD 2004 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley)

An ambitious wine that doesn't live up to its reserve status. Most of the parts are here, from the ripe tannins and fine acidity to the moderate alcohol and toasty oak, but the currant flavors finish too thin for ageability, or to justify the price.
