Director Of Public Relations

As the Director of Public Relations for Wine Enthusiast Companies you will be expected to be a Wine Enthusiast ambassador – obsessively focused on creatively building our brand on behalf of both the media and commerce divisions. This person is a storyteller who can “Bring Wine to Life,” as the WE Companies Mission states via word-of-mouth marketing, partnerships, events and press coverage. This role reports directly into the media group’s Publisher and Co-President and is an integral part of the wider corporation.

This Director of PR will manage a team of two direct reports experienced in events, partnerships and print production. They’ll work alongside their counterparts to gather information from the entire organization and continue to familiarize themselves with the fascinating world of the wine industry. They will be creative in their approach, develop compelling pitches, stories and have a strong sense of ‘brand,’ continuously seeking opportunities to build hype and drive awareness across both media and commerce divisions

Responsibilities include:

  • Align with marketing and management team to meet annual business objectives that ladder up to the 3-year plan
  • Become an expert in our catalog product offering and how to gain press coverage in relevant media outlets
  • Develop a PR strategy around building our Tasting Panel’s reputation in the wine marketplace and beyond
  • Provide guidance and ideas to achieve annual goals in PR, traffic, SEO and audience growth
  • Identify and drive best practices in creating a formal PR department
  • Strategize and execute all wine trade partnerships including show participation and contract negotiations
  • Manage and mentor two direct reports to help them grow and evolve their careers with WE

NJ Warehouse HR Generalist (Part-Time)

Wine Enthusiast is seeking a qualified and resourceful HR Generalist to work part-time in our Perth Amboy, New Jersey warehouse. The right candidate will be a people-person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As a Part-Time HR Generalist at Wine Enthusiast, you would manage tasks in every area of HR, including recruiting, compensation, and employee training.

Responsibilities include:

  • Organize hard and soft copies of employee records
  • Process documentation and prepare reports relating to performance evaluations
  • Coordinate employee satisfaction surveys and give actionable insights to improve employees experience
  • Support employees when human resources issues arise with efficient problem-solving
  • Communicate with public services when needed
  • Reinforce the company policies, rules, and procedures to ensure employees’ safety
  • Oversee employee labor laws and regulations to assure compliance
  • Review and select applications during hiring processes and update database
  • Assist in the coordination of staffing and recruitment processes

Receptionist

Wine Enthusiast is seeking a Receptionist to join our team. The Receptionist is responsible for greeting visitors and delivering exceptional customer service assistance. This entails answering calls and fielding them, addressing visitor questions and needs, and providing an overall welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate will have a college degree and 3-5 years of experience as a receptionist in an office setting. Must be organized, reliable, and a great communicator.

Responsibilities include:

  • Welcome visitors in a warm and friendly manner
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Operate standard office equipment on a regular basis, including a fax machine, a copy machine, and a computer
  • Process bills and help clients or customers if they have any questions about their charges
  • Take inventory of supplies and restocking as needed
  • Make appointments for all staff or for specific employees, such as executives

Delivery Truck Driver

We are seeking a Appliance/Furniture Delivery Driver and a Driver Helper to join our team! The driver will drive to deliver and pick up goods and packages and the helper will assist with the deliveries and pick up.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ability to move at least 300 lbs. or more with the use of equipment or in tandem with a helper.
  • Able to help install and assemble all delivery products as per company guidelines for customer.
  • Ensure the product is inspected prior to delivery for damage.
  • Follow proper loading and unloading procedures according to safety guidelines.
  • Follow safety guidelines for proper deliveries inside customer locations.
  • Inspect product after delivery to ensure product is not damaged.

Business Analyst

We are hiring a Technical Business Analyst to join our project team. You will work alongside other business colleagues and work closely with the project manager. Your main tasks will include performing detailed requirements analysis, documenting processes, and performing user acceptance testing. To succeed in this role, you should have a natural analytical way of thinking and be able to explain difficult concepts to non-technical users.  We have a very complex ERP and WMS system that you will need to learn to be able to be highly effective.

Business Analyst Responsibilities:

  • Evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions
  • Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies
  • Assist with and ultimately lead triage efforts on system issues

Executive Assistant

Wine Enthusiast Companies headquartered in Westchester County, NY is seeking an experienced Executive Assistant to join our team.

The Executive Assistant reports directly to the Co-founder in a one-on-one working relationship and at times is called upon to perform administrative duties for our executive management team. The person we are seeking is professional, highly organized, works with confidence, and can communicate effectively and professionally with a wide range of external and internal contacts.

The main responsibilities of this position include managing corporate travel, setting up meetings, handling executive lunch orders, protocol communications, management of office supplies, internet research, and assisting with data entry projects.

The successful candidate will have experience with all the aspects of making both domestic and international travel arrangements. As well, possess strong computer and internet research skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal management and staff. This may include outside clients and vendors. Sensitivity to confidential matters is also a requirement.

Work will be performed at our headquarters located in Valhalla, NY. Chargeback Coordinator

Our Chargeback Coordinator research and investigate open claims and chargeback deductions, resolving disputes initiated by the issuing bank, and process all merchant chargebacks within the time frames established by card brands in order to prevent loss.

Using your chargeback experience, you’ll evaluate the complaint, research the dispute and resolve it under the card bank regulations and rules, preparing and submitting the required documentation on chargeback cases .You’ll review, analyze and process all re-presentments, pre-arbitration, arbitration, pre-compliance and compliance cases pending in the card brands portals, as well as review vendor guides and communicate possible non-compliance issues with internal team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintain a log on all pending issues with status of resolution for future reference
  • File disputes/claims by obtaining carrier or necessary documentation, submission and follow-up
  • Assist with additional chargeback projects or reports as assigned.
  • Dispute invalid deductions within the claim’s expiration time-frame, and follow through until resolved
  • Research and resolve high volume of customer deductions/chargebacks pertaining to shipping violation claims, allowances, discounts, damages, pricing, and shortages
  • Interact with internal departments during the process of validating deductions
  • Prepare and submit necessary adjustments for processing; Review and validate all chargeback activity for proper processing and reconciliation.

  • High school, Associate’s Degree preferred

Professional Experience:

  • 2-5 years professional work experience processing chargebacks

  • Previous position processing chargebacks
