NetSuite Developer

Wine Enthusiast Companies is seeking a NetSuite Developer to work at its headquarters in Valhalla, NY.  Along with working onsite, experience in eCommerce, WMS & EDI is required as is being an excellent communicator, proactive and a problem solver.

The job duties include:

  • Helping to implement NetSuite modules
  • Doing customizations and configurations to NetSuite Scripts
  • Develop custom code and scripts to support customer functionality
  • Working hands-on to troubleshoot issues
  • Being the technical point of contact for our ERP application (NetSuite)
  • Architect, design, build, and deliver optimized NetSuite solutions including customizations, scripting (2.0), integration & support case resolution
  • Staying ahead of the new NetSuite features and functionality, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Participation in technical design/code reviews & audits to ensure design objectives are met and standards are followed
  • Working with management, Product Managers and Finance business customers to scope work and produce estimates
  • Adapting to changing priorities of the business and seek out ways to develop new skills
  • Balancing multiple projects and contending priorities
  • Creating saved searches that users need to better assist their purchasing
  • Becoming knowledgeable on our existing NetSuite customizations in order to modify them
  • Maintaining user roles/access and assign appropriate permissions/levels of access
  • Build/maintaining user interface entry forms, as well as email and PDF templates
  • Working with end users on usability/”Help Desk” issues.

The skills & experience you’ll need:

  • 3+ Years in NetSuite Development
  • 5+ years of Industry Experience with emphasis with NetSuite Development experience with SuiteScript and Integrations
  • Good understanding and hands on experience on the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF)
  • NetSuite Certification such as SuiteCloud Developer Certification and SuiteCommerce Developer Certification preferred
  • 2+ years eCommerce Experience
  • Ability to write and review SuiteScripts (1.0 & 2.0) from scratch. Extensive understanding Map-Reduce. SuiteCommerce Advanced experience a plus
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON technologies
  • Experience with Full-Cycle NetSuite implementation
  • Experience in system integration and unit testing
  • EDI Experience
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with ERP system modules including financials, purchasing, sales order, and processing
  • Experience with WMS/Inventory Modules
  • Strong sense of debugging skills to repair any issues that occur
  • Excellent written and verbal communication

Assistant Digital Editor

The ideal Assistant Digital Editor candidate has excellent writing and editing skills, is proactive, creative, organized and has an eye for detail. In addition to daily digital production support, the assistant editor may be included in conceptualizing editorial projects and campaigns; write trends-driven wine and spirits content and help to execute a variety of digital packages with the senior editors. This is a hands-on job that involves direct interaction with a network of international writers and editors as well as daily production tasks for the Wine Enthusiast magazine website, Winemag.com.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Detailed fact-checking under the advisement of senior editors
  • Write headlines and excerpts for articles based on SEO best practices
  • Produce articles and other web-exclusive content via WordPress CMS from start to finish, as well as converting pieces from our print magazine via InDesign into WordPress, in accordance with our monthly editorial calendar
  • Coordinate with our Tasting & Review department to produce trend stories and wine recommendation round-ups
  • Pitch and write shorter news and trend pieces to run on winemag.com
  • Keep the homepage and other sections of winemag.com up-to-date with the latest editorial content
  • Assist in basic photo research and occasional image sourcing under the advisement of the art team
  • Maintain daily production schedule

Desired Experience and Skill Set:

  • Solid writing, grammar and line-editing skills
  • Broad experience in digital media and/or an ability to pick up and learn new software and technology in a timely manner
  • Experience in WordPress or similar CMS highly desired
  • Attention to detail and deadlines, and must have experience multitasking and tracking many projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic knowledge of HTML and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) helpful
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research, or the ability to learn
  • Previous experience in the food and beverage industry and/or familiarity with wine a plus

Assistant Product Manager

Wine Enthusiast Companies, the ultimate source of innovation and information around wine, is seeking an Assistant Product Manager to work within our electronics and wine storage appliance division.  This position involves general product management from both a technical and sales perspective.  There will be daily vendor communications, database management and information development and coordination as well as being part of creating and introducing new products.

The following are the key responsibilities of this position.

  • Monitor competitive activity and product line positioning. Understand competitive product offerings, features, benefits, competitive advantage and provide key insights on consumer and market trends.
  • Supervise, monitor and manage 3rd Party test labs during product testing and ensure the testing reports from 3rd Party labs are issued in a timely manner.
  • Be the central resource for all the specifications, technical aspects, testing and quality of our products.
  • Work with technical support, manufacturing and sales to develop collateral materials, web content and enhance existing product(s) or product line(s).
  • Determine the products’ main selling points and support the Sales & Marketing teams with accurate product information (user manuals, spec sheets, etc.) and sales tools (e.g., catalogs, sell sheets, price lists, etc.). to optimize the products’ presentation to distribution customers and end users.
  • Assist with product development, including product changes and product promotions, specifying components, packaging content and design, product positioning, catalog and sell sheet copy, as required.
  • Travel internationally to suppliers and factories.

Must have Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience with the above listed responsibilities.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Clear and effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.

Product Support Specialist for Wine Cellars

The Wine Enthusiast is a direct marketing and e-commerce leader in providing wine cellars, racking and wine accessories. We are currently seeking a professional who can fill the role as one of our Product Support Specialist working from our headquarters in Valhalla, NY.

The primary job of the Product Support Specialist is to provide general customer service and telephone troubleshooting for customers and field repair technicians needing assistance with operating or repairing wine storage refrigerators and wine cellar cooling units.

With that in mind, the main responsibilities of this position include:

  • Handle incoming technical support calls in an effort to troubleshoot potential defect and/or usability
  • Contact service companies to initiate repair calls
  • Work with in house service technician on return unit repairs
  • Work with Inventory planning to order replacement parts for cellar repairs

Along with having an inquisitive nature, a mechanical ability and pride yourself at being a problem solver, the following will help you be a successful candidate:

  • have 2-3 years of Technical experience (yes we would prefer HVAC but electrical/machinery/automotive or small engine interest is ok as well)
  • have prior customer service experience
  • have a clear, calm and pleasant speaking voice
  • possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • have strong multi-tasking skills and outstanding organizational skills
  • be able to work in high demand environment with minimal supervision

Marketing Copywriter – Wine Enthusiast Catalog and Digital

Wine Enthusiast Catalog, the commerce arm of Wine Enthusiast Companies, is looking for an eager and inspiring marketing copywriter.  This integral role is responsible for all marketing copy researched and written for Wine Enthusiast Catalog’s digital and print channels. He/she collaborates closely with the e-commerce, design, and merchandising teams to ensure a consistent voice and marketing messaging across the company.

What You Will Do

  • Oversee and develop branded copy and headlines for our print catalog, and print ads in our media publication, Wine Enthusiast Magazine.
  • Print catalog — The Sourcebook, reaches an upscale demographic requiring a luxury lifestyle approach and mindset.
  • Manage and develop all copy across our ecommerce digital channels, including the website, emails (subject lines, headlines & body copy), and online ads, among other programs.
  • Also includes on-site promotional copy and headlines. Working closely with the ecommerce team to help strategize the design and write copy for all product detail page item descriptions, and landing pages.
  • Work with design and merchandising teams to draft copy for eye-catching product packaging.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Wholesale Sales team on marketing collateral and product copy for Wine Enthusiast products sold on Amazon, as well as other major wholesale big box and wholesale club partners.
  • Edit and proofread copy to ensure that it is accurate, consistent, grammatically correct and that the message speaks to the target audience in a cohesive brand voice throughout multiple channels.
  • Responsible for in-depth knowledge of company products, staying up-to-date on the wine and spirits lifestyle, and researching other brands to keep a competitive edge.
