Corporate Receptionist

Wine Enthusiast Companies, located in Valhalla, NY, is seeking a personable, articulate and dependable Corporate Receptionist who knows how to put customers and business partners first.  This position is key in our organization as it is the first person to greet and lend assistance to our visitors.

We depend upon our Receptionist to act and look professional and courteous and use exceptional customer service skills.

Outline of Job Responsibilities

  • Greet & welcome all visitors with warmth, enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Answer & direct all incoming reception calls
  • Register our business visitors and direct them to the appropriate individual
  • Furnish administrative support to our Wine Storage Sales Team.
  • Receive and direct office deliveries
  • Assist with the mail
  • Ensure our Showroom is organized and that products & publications are displayed properly.
  • Maintain company phone directory
  • Remain current and knowledgeable of our product line
  • Create visual product displays in our showroom
  • Assist customers with their shopping experience in our Showroom; selections, recommendations and sale.
  • Ensure a safe and pleasant experience for all guests

The successful candidate will:

  • have 1-2 years of Receptionist and or Customer Service experience

NetSuite Developer

Wine Enthusiast Companies is seeking a NetSuite Developer to work at its headquarters in Valhalla, NY.  Along with working onsite, experience in eCommerce, WMS & EDI is required as is being an excellent communicator, proactive and a problem solver.

The job duties include:

  • Helping to implement NetSuite modules
  • Doing customizations and configurations to NetSuite Scripts
  • Develop custom code and scripts to support customer functionality
  • Working hands-on to troubleshoot issues
  • Being the technical point of contact for our ERP application (NetSuite)
  • Architect, design, build, and deliver optimized NetSuite solutions including customizations, scripting (2.0), integration & support case resolution
  • Staying ahead of the new NetSuite features and functionality, and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Participation in technical design/code reviews & audits to ensure design objectives are met and standards are followed
  • Working with management, Product Managers and Finance business customers to scope work and produce estimates
  • Adapting to changing priorities of the business and seek out ways to develop new skills
  • Balancing multiple projects and contending priorities
  • Creating saved searches that users need to better assist their purchasing
  • Becoming knowledgeable on our existing NetSuite customizations in order to modify them
  • Maintaining user roles/access and assign appropriate permissions/levels of access
  • Build/maintaining user interface entry forms, as well as email and PDF templates
  • Working with end users on usability/”Help Desk” issues.

The skills & experience you’ll need:

  • 3+ Years in NetSuite Development
  • 5+ years of Industry Experience with emphasis with NetSuite Development experience with SuiteScript and Integrations
  • Good understanding and hands on experience on the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF)
  • NetSuite Certification such as SuiteCloud Developer Certification and SuiteCommerce Developer Certification preferred
  • 2+ years eCommerce Experience
  • Ability to write and review SuiteScripts (1.0 & 2.0) from scratch. Extensive understanding Map-Reduce. SuiteCommerce Advanced experience a plus
  • Knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, SOAP, REST, XML, and JSON technologies
  • Experience with Full-Cycle NetSuite implementation
  • Experience in system integration and unit testing
  • EDI Experience
  • Willingness to learn new technologies
  • Experience with ERP system modules including financials, purchasing, sales order, and processing
  • Experience with WMS/Inventory Modules
  • Strong sense of debugging skills to repair any issues that occur

Photo Producer

Wine Enthusiast Magazine, the publishing division of Wine Enthusiast Companies, has an open position for a Photo Producer. The ideal candidate will utilize their project management and production experience to coordinate all details for our stills photography as well as some motion and video shoots. The position works alongside our Creative members on site at our headquarters in Valhalla, NY. Please note this is NOT a call for a photographer or videographer.

Key responsibilities of this position

  • Be able to work in a collaborative internal creative environment.
  • Develop processes to work with other departments.
  • Appropriately delegate to properly aid in execution of big picture objectives.
  • Ability to work within a fast paced, professional production team.
  • Manage all aspects of a given project – from concept to pre-plan through actual shoot.
  • Professionally represent the company while working closely with third party vendors such as photographers, models, wardrobe stylists, prop stylists, hair and make-up artists, digital techs, re-touchers, etc.
  • Ability to navigate various personalities and orchestrate a large crew while on set.
  • Ability to manage a budget and negotiate as needed. Reconcile costs for each shoot, making sure they do not exceed budget.
  • Must be willing to travel and attend photo shoots and manage all on-set production. This includes: organizing flow of shoot, ensuring accuracy with samples/outfits, communicating specifics of each shot to CD/AD/photographer, determining backgrounds/set designs, and managing freelance support.
  • Research, scout and secure locations for photo shoots, including permits as necessary.
  • Update and maintain accuracy of shotlists during pre and post production.
  • Stay current of new photo technologies and industry trends, as well as maintain files on talent and locations.
  • Bring fresh ideas to the table, research new talent and photographers.
  • Be solution oriented, anticipating and resolving issues, including last-minute changes due to location, talent, or weather issues by utilizing appropriate resources.
  • Having relationships with agencies/freelancers is a plus.
  • Ability to navigate proper channels relating to copyright usage, fees and negotiations.

To be successful in this role, you must have the following:

  • Skills and desire to be a comprehensive producer
  • 5+ years-experience producing photo shoots both in-studio and on-location (on-figure experience a must; Lifestyle or fashion experience preferred). Video production is a plus.
  • 5+ years-experience in model/talent sourcing and booking and production relating to photo shoots (location searches, permits, location vehicles, catering etc.).
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a 4-year College or University preferred.
  • Ability and willingness to travel.
  • Solution-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Works well under deadline pressure.
  • A detail-oriented self-starter with excellent time management skills, including ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Team player with a high level of professionalism.
  • Photo editing software Adobe Photoshop, Bridge and familiarity with Adobe InDesign Mac OS environment
  • Proficient with software applications such as Word, Excel and Adobe Acrobat. Jira, WebDAM and Slack are a plus!

Social Media Coordinator

Wine Enthusiast is looking for a highly organized, solutions-based social media coordinator with a keen eye for quality and in-depth knowledge of various social media platforms. This person should be a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to the social media space and be able to drive performance through post writing and scheduling, creative development, big picture strategy and campaign planning for across branches including eCommerce, editorial, events and paid social.

Responsibilities

  • Writing/editing social media posts across branches including eCommerce, editorial and paid social across WE owned platforms (Including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Houzz, YouTube and TripAdvisor)
  • Manage content schedule and creative direction for eCommerce products, sales and partnerships for various social media platforms
  • Collaborate with creative and editorial to ensure all content is on-brand and consistent in terms of style, quality and tone of voice
  • Ability to track, run reports and analyze data for performance and opportunities via Google Analytics, social listening/monitoring tools and native platform insights
  • Paid Social – Execute setup and manage daily pacing and real-time optimization of live Facebook and Instagram Ad campaigns and budget
  • Utilize Facebook and Instagram in-app shop features to increase eCommerce sales
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns via social media direct messages, comments and e-mail inquiries

Qualifications

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, English, Graphic Design, or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in multi-media content creation
  • Basic understanding of Adobe Creative Suite programs and photo/video editing skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills

Front End Developer

Wine Enthusiast Magazine is seeking an organized, proactive and experienced Front End Developer to work with our Senior Web Developer to drive all updates to the look and feel of our fast-growing publishing site, Winemag.com.

Our site is built on WordPress so a working knowledge of the WordPress platform is an absolute necessity. At the very least, we are looking for someone who has 2 years of solid WordPress front-end developer experience. We also want a person who is driven and passionate about their work and seizes opportunities to keep learning. Someone who can be an effective member of a team, who utilizes exceptional communication skills; providing clear and detailed information while listening to others. The combination of those essential requirements will lend itself to being successful in this role.

Key areas of Responsibilities:

  • Creating landing pages using WordPress custom and/or premium themes.
  • Customizing the WordPress admin to meet needs of editorial team.
  • Building custom templates, popups and forms based on specs provided by editorial and marketing team.
  • Ensuring our websites operate quickly and uses best-in-class coding in accordance with SEO requirements.
  • Translation of the UI/UX design wireframes to actual code in all viewports.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.

Hard Skills and must have Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3.
  • WordPress proficiency including themes and plugins.
  • Good understanding of server-side CSS pre-processing platforms, such as SASS and LESS.
  • Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, including jQuery.
  • Proficient understanding and hands-on experience of code versioning tools, such as Git.
