Chris Bilbro’s middle son, Scot, was the one who decided to take over the family business. (His older brother, Jake, pursued yet another vinous project, Limerick Lane.) Marietta is a longtime producer of value red table wines like Old Vine Red and Christo. “It’s such an anomaly, 75,000 cases, all wholesale,” says Scot. “We’re making excellent wine and getting it across the country. It isn’t an exclusive, tiny thing.”
