Danny Lafuente, Co-founder /CEO, Simple Spirits Company
Simple Change
Along with Dan Maslow, Lafuente founded the Simple Spirits Company in 2015. The company produces Simple Vodka, a sustainable potato-based bottling, which donates enough funds to national hunger relief organizations to provide at least 20 meals for every bottle produced. Lafuente, who now lives in New York City, is also the co-founder of The LAB Miami, an energetic co-working space in the city’s Wynwood arts district, and is Associate Director of the SciTech Scity initiative, a 16-acre science and technology campus in Jersey City.

Keeping it Simple
Along with Danny Lafuente, Maslow founded the Simple Spirits Company in 2015. The two met at the University of Pennsylvania, where Maslow earned a degree in real estate and finance. They came up with the idea for the business while working at a Miami company that donated food from events to a local food shelter. It was there they learned that one in six Americans is food insecure. Since its launch in March 2017, Simple Spirits has contributed more than 400,000 meals through hunger relief beneficiaries, and the company hopes to eclipse 1 million meals by the end of this year.
