From bars of music to wine bar ownership
A DJ, Oyediran came to Charleston for college, where he took a job at the Charleston Grill to help afford a life of music on a student’s budget. But when he met Sommelier Rick Rubel, the beats moved aside and wine took over. Oyediran is now one of the few advanced sommeliers in the state, and among the city’s best-known and trusted wine experts. A prominent player at this year’s Charleston Wine + Food festival, he and business partner Miles White opened Graft Wine Shop & Bar in March, complete with a killer playlist.
