Hill never imagined the tremendous success that his brewery enjoys. A chemistry and fermentation nut, he has wanted to open a brewery since he was 18. So, after gaining experience at domestic and European breweries, he returned to his family farm to launch Hill Farmstead in 2010. There, Hill now brews beers with the property’s well water to reflect his heritage, hometown and personal style. He’s stayed true to his original mission, as he’s pushed brewing boundaries to satiate his curiosity, not for shock value or to chase trends.
